BEST (Board of European Students of Technology) is a constantly growing, non-profit, apolitical organization of the European Society of Technology Students. BEST has been providing communication, education and exchange to students from every part of Europe since 1989. 95 local BEST groups in 34 different countries create a fast growing, planned, strong, active, innovative and young communication network. Within the BEST organization, a total of 250,000 active members from all over Europe include 2.1 million alumni.
METU students run BEST Ankara and is one of the most active local groups within the BEST organization. We organize national and international Summer Courses to develop innovative thinking, support entrepreneurial personalities and generate creative minds for students in Europe. This year’s Autumn Course will be held in Ankara between 01.09.2023 and 09.09.2023 and 23 participants from 15 European countries will receive training from professionals in their fields within the framework of the subject of “Sustainable Living and Design”. All trainings will be broadcast live and shared to the entire BEST organization’s network. In our course, there will be trainings where we discuss the Global Citizenship, Carbon Footprint, Passive Energy Technologies, Basic Information About Land Use, Biodiversity, Recycling, Renewable Energy, Life Cycle. With this event, we aim to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to shape our future by understanding the foundations of sustainability, and to strengthen our potential.
